My wife and I have been going to LeSoir since 1979 and have never had a bad meal. My favorite was the duck with orange sauce and my wife liked Bacon-Wrapped Berkshire Pork Tenderloin, Stuffed with Apple, Cider Sauce . We will miss this restaurant and the owner who always came over to our table and spoke with us. She also was the baker and made the best desserts.

Have I ever mention that I loved this restaurant? It's was my comfort zone, my go-to when I wanted, or needed a great meal. But I just read, she is gone. No more four gras, adieu duck a' l'orange...and farewell gin martinis. What a sad day, but my heart felt thanks to the owners that brought so much pleasure to my culinary life.

Charming, quaint & very welcoming-just a few words to describe this very special place. We had celebrated a New Year's Eve there previously so it was a no brainer to go back for an intimate 50th anniversary dinner. The moment you walk in you're greeted as you enter the dining room. We were seated a lovely corner table & started off with escargot which was delicious!! My husband had the Duck with Orange sauce which he said was moist with a crispy skin as for myself I had the special a favorite of mine-Soft Shell Crabs topped with lime & chopped pecans. The crabs were mouth watering & sautéed perfectly & the lime was a great add on. We shared a chocolate pecan tart & this definitely did not disappoint. Love this place & there are so many delicious reasons why it's with a visit!!!

Had an extremely pleasant experience at Le Soir. Made a reservation on a Wednesday night just incase. There were plenty of tables available when we entered. Its a dimly lit, romantic setting. Perfect for an intimate date. Started off with the frog legs. They were very tender, flavorful, and juicy. It was my first time and I would love to have the again. Secondly, got the escargot which were also savory. We were given a side of bread which we used to soak up the escargot sauce. They do not have a cocktail menu. They gave us two choices of cocktails of the day which were perfectly crafted by the bartender. These options may change. Our entrees came with soup or salad, we picked the soup at that time (March) which was butternut squash. It was rich, creamy, flavorful, And almost resembled a lobster bisque. For my entree i got the rack of lambs which came with green beans and carrots. They also were all well Seasoned. Dessert also was spectacular. Pictured is cheesecake and another option (dont remember the name, late review) Overall all the food was delicious and nothing was subpar to us. Would come again for more.

My Brother, Sister & I took Dad out for an early Father's Day dinner impromptu because I got off work early. Spur of the moment always makes the best times for me. Dad & I have been eyeing this place for awhile but because of the late opening time we haven't made it here. Today was the day. I made reservations earlier & when we got there We were greeted by the hostess very warmly and escorted to our table. Starting with drinks, my Dad ordered the Floc de Gascogne which is a sweet aperitif. I really liked it but I had already ordered my safe Vodka Tonic. Followed by appetizers of Crab Cakes, Escargot & Foie Gras. My disappointment in the Foie Gras was because I was expecting a piece of Foie Gras like the menu stated (Foie Gras, Brioche, Caramelized Onion) not a piece of terrine. I was thinking it would be a seared piece. But it was not. It was good for what it was. My family enjoyed the other appetizers immensely. Our main courses were thoroughly enjoyed for the most part. Dads lamb chops were flavorful & cooked perfectly. Sister's Shrimp Risotto was creamy & huge shrimp cooked perfectly. My brother raves about his Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin. But my Filet de Sole Amandine lacked soul. Very bland. But the staff was awesome and overall a good meal with just a few hiccups. 6-18-2022

I have been wanting to go to this place for a while now and I finally did.we were greeted by a gracious hostess and promptly seated. I talked to the bartender about a wine that Gail B had recommended Floc deGascogne and she knew exactly what I was talking about Even though I didn't know how to pronounce it lol. Thank you Gail for the recommendation it was delicious. We ordered the escargot and crab cakes with celery roots for an appetizer ,absolutely delicious . I ordered the roasted Australian rack of lamb that was cooked perfectly medium rare and melted in your mouth. My son ordered the bacon wrapped Berkshire pork tenderloin that look amazing and he said it was very good. Chrissy had the sauteed fillet of soul that she said tasted bland. My other daughter had the shrimp risotto that she enjoyed immensely, she said the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the risotto was nice and creamy PS I have to give a shout out to the staff who made us feel right at home and made sure we had an enjoyable meal.

Bonjour à tous, My mouth waters every time I set foot inside this restaurant. I dine here a minimum of six times a year. Owner Yasha and her team are friendly and conversative. They make you feel like you are dining "chez soi"----"at home" en anglais. On Tuesdays through Thursdays, soup or salad; and dessert are included in the price of the entrée. Dessert is not included on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The atmosphere is intimate with white tablecloths and flowers, yet I see many casually-dressed diners. The appetizer, entrees and desserts are properly timed between servings. Their mixed greens salad gives me a smile with each bite. It is plain with no color or variety, but it is that perfect vinaigrette that makes this salad my favorite one in the U.S.A. The food comes out hot and is prepared properly. Yasha bakes all the desserts. Her deceased husband was the chef. Yasha is the one who introduced me to the aperitif Floc Gascogne. It is a sweet French wine, fortified with brandy. There is no other restaurant that I know of that sells it, so I make sure that I drink a glass every time I come here. Appetizer Recommendations: Cold Corn Soup any vegetable soup Main Course Recommendations: Calves Liver with bacon and onions Chicken Fricassé with freshly cooked string beans and baby carrots; Potato Dauphinoise Sautéed Soft Shell Crabs Dessert Recommendations: Fruit Cobbler especially the one made with corn meal Chocolate Pecan Tarte with crème anglaise Drinks: Staff puts a special spin on cocktails that you cannot get anywhere else. Extensive Wine List Water is replenished frequently and tastes filtered. My Favorite Cocktails: Cucumber Martini (made with fresh cucumber) Caipirinha My Favorite Dessert Wine: Floc Gascogne The restaurant has a small parking lot, but there is parking in an adjacent lot. RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED unless you sit at the bar like I do. The only downside is that this restaurant does not make a few of my favorite French dishes: Bouillabaisse and Crêpes Suzette. I have to go to The City to get them--either on the Upper East Side or Lower Manhattan. Bonne Nourriture, Gail

Phenomenal from start to finish ! Knowledgeable and warm service It's so hard to find true French cuisine on Long Island these days more and more places turn with different Asian or American flares but this is true French cuisine at its best. Food really reminds me of Louis 16th in Patchogue back in early 2000's but not the same ambiance. Le Soir vibe is more like visiting your aunt at home ... warm kind smile of the servers will make you feel welcomed. If you never had it before you can try over there one of the best frog legs , escargot and terrine of foie gras I had in my life . For main course we had sole and filet mignon both excellent and cooked to perfection with sides that came out hot and delicious. I don't remember last time getting excited about green string beens or carrots but even that was pure heaven!!! Delicious Desserts...... all homemade fresh fresh fresh with no extra amount of sugar it was all just the right way. Thank you to owner and all the staff for putting all this effort and hard work . Will see you soon Narazie
